A member of the Manitoba Society of Artists, Ruth was born in England where she began her art education. In 1969 she moved to Canada where she continued studying with many distinguished artists in various institutions and workshops. Since coming to Winnipeg in 1975, Ruth found the particular light of the prairies most inspiring for working with colours. She has participated in many shows around the city and her works are held in collections throughout England, France, Holland, the USA and Canada.
